Yao Chen’s Garden: Unearthing the Way Home—which seeks order from chaos in music inspired by traditional Chinese gardening—will feel like an oasis at the heart of a concert that ravishes the senses. And to finish, Scriabin’s The Poem of Ecstasy takes that feeling to the next level, in a supercharged, multicoloured outpouring of sonic passion for a colossal orchestra.
